Months in and I still like looking at it, it still makes good rice, and it still takes up almost no room. I went with the blue on instinct and if I were ordering again today I would pick exactly the same one.
My roommate lived on cereal and delivery and would not touch the stove. She has been making rice bowls for herself since this arrived because there is nothing about it that can go wrong. The kitchen gets used now.
Mixed grain blends are the hardest thing to get right because everything cooks at a different rate. The blend I use came out with the wild rice tender and the white grains still separate, which surprised me.
The one this replaced cost me considerably more and made worse rice while taking up twice the room. I am slightly annoyed about that in hindsight, but mostly just pleased that this one turned out so well.
My kitchen had ended up as a jumble of black plastic and steel and it always looked cluttered. This one soft colored object somehow settles the whole run of counter down. It was worth choosing color over neutral.
