I have already passed the link on to two people at work who asked about it after I mentioned it at lunch. It does what it says, it looks good doing it, and I have not found a single thing to complain about.
The footprint genuinely is small, which was the appeal, and I was braced for that to mean tiny portions. It does not. There is easily enough for a full dinner, so I gave up nothing by choosing the compact one.
It looks good, it takes up almost no space and it has made decent rice every single time I have asked it to. I bought it slightly on impulse because of how it looked and it has turned out to be a sound decision.
I have had my father, my son and a house guest all use it without needing to be shown anything. There is genuinely nothing to explain, and that is a rarer quality in kitchen equipment than it ought to be.
Blends worry me because the different grains never finish at the same moment. The mix I use came out with everything tender at once, which I did not really expect and which has made me braver about trying others.
